Plant of the week: Solanum ‘Thurino’

The Solanum ‘Thurino’ is a small but bushy evergreen shrub which grows in an upright fashion.

They are often grown as a houseplant or treated as a Summer annual as they aren’t frost hardy. More commonly know as the Christmas Cherry due to its vivid coloured berries which appear in November and last throughout the Winter. These berries should not be eaten!

The bright orange berries appear after small white flowers and contrast nicely from the deep green foliage. Best placed in a sunny position or a windowsill will be perfect if used as a houseplant.

Available now for only £1.00!!
